Today was one of those days.  I felt spiritually bombarded.  You too?

An urgent need of prayer came my way today and my heart grew super heavy twice:
One, a lost life.  Taken by choice--seeing no way out I suppose.  My heavy heart could hardly hold the tears when I learned of this--a stranger to me--but yet this one had a family, friends, and people who loved him...(they all do--anyone who chooses to take his or her own life has others who love them deeply--the devil just has their mind more focused on what's wrong in their lives than what's right....-just my thoughts.)

The second urgent need was closer to home.  Enemy --satanic attacks from the very pit.  I've seen and heard them happening all over the world.  Brothers and sisters in Christ have been under attack with such a fierceness--it's been unimaginable.

I remember standing in front of my closet one morning when we lived in Bolivia and saying to myself--what should I wear today?  Just as swift did those thoughts come--the Holy Spirit dropped these just as fast, "Wear your armor.  You will need it.  The whole armor."

If you are reading this tonight --it's late.  I went to bed early--then had to get back up.  The needs kept my heart and mind churning.

As I sat here in my little prayer room I began to read and pray.  The Holy Spirit interceding--I felt His presence immediately.

This next thing that I'm going to share with you hasn't happened often, but it has a few times--and I was only going to share it with the one person I was praying for- but thought maybe, just maybe, more than one person needed to know what to do:

"Keep believing.  Don't doubt.  Whatever you are believing and praying for --keep trusting Him.  TRUST triumphs in trials every time.

You may not see with the physical eyes many changes--oh, but don't be fooled--there are things happening in the spiritual realm that are unbelievable.

Swords.  Thousands of swords sparking and clashing, coming ever so close--you need to know that you are protected.  Your children are protected.  Yes, you will have problems.  But--you need to know that your family will rise up--there is victory ahead.  Keep your shoes on.  Tighten your belt.  Straighten your armor and grip the sword you are holding.

Wipe the sweat from your brow and the blood from your blade and keep trusting.  Each act of trust and praise is a slash of blade through the enemy.

The target is hit every-single-time.

As the enemy grows weaker, he has to call on others for help--but YOU are now surrounded by other swords, slashing and shredding the enemy asunder.  HOPE is not lost.  HOPE is yours!  See?! Can you see?  The enemy is shrinking because with each gouge and slash of the sword you hold, you are getting stronger.

No matter how many come against you--MORE come to fight with you!  (and me!)

And, when we feel we can fight no longer, we can see--out of our periphery, a Light.  A light so bright the blades dripping with blood is caught in the Light and they blaze like fire as the blood runs.  It is not our blood on the sword.  It is the enemy's blood.

The Light grows brighter and you can feel the light as the warmth from it brings healing to every wound of your body, soul, heart and mind you have ever suffered.  You have never felt so completely whole as now.

Now the Light has completely surrounded you.  Your eyes are finally open as if scales--or a shadow that was fixed over your retina has melted away by the Light and you can see the multitude, more than you can comprehend or take in.  The hills and valleys beyond, and to each side of you, as well as behind you, are those who have fought and won this same battle.

You lower your sword as His sword takes the heads off each enemy in one fell swoop.  They are obliterated!  Your fast breathing and rapidly beating heart calms. Peace floods where fear tried to overtake you...

Peace ran fear out--with the sword.

Wipe your sword child.  We are almost home."

The Whole Armor of God

10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. 14 Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. 15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.  16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.  17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.  Ephesians 6:10-18 NLT

God has given each of you a gift from His great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10 NLT
